ANDREW JAMES

Andrew is principal of "The Practitioners School of Reflexology" - a reflexology training school accredited to The Association of Reflexologists (a large independent association for reflexology professionals). He has successfully trained hundreds of practitioners over many years. He is an experienced Reflexologist, Homoeopath and Aromatherapist, having run clinics both in health clubs and complementary health centres alongside other practitioners. He has had his own established private practice for many years.

Andrew was a member of the former Association of Reflexologists Examinations Committee, which was involved in the original implementation of the first standard written examination in Reflexology.

Through the combination of continuing clinical and tutorial work Andrew is able to provide a dynamic and professional approach to the teaching of reflexology which any budding reflexologist will find invaluable.

Andrew James is a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR), a registered member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists (MIFA) and a fellow of the British Institute of Homoeopathy, membership of which requires minimum entry standards and the undertaking of a professional code of ethics and appropriate insurance.

THE EXAM:
ABC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (VRQ)

ABC stands for the "Awarding Body Consortium" and is recognised by the regulatory bodies as an awarding body whose qualifications meet the criteria applied by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority). This qualification is designed principally to lead directly into employment as a reflexologist. It will also enable progression to a First Degree in Health Sciences in a number of Higher Education Programmes in UK universities. There are post-graduate programmes available for which this qualification is a prerequisite

Students who have been assessed by ABC as having reached the required standard will be able to apply to the Association of Reflexologists for associate membership.

The Association of Reflexologists is an independent organisation founded in 1984 to help maintain a high standard of practise; to promote Reflexology and to care for the patient. It is the largest independent Reflexology association in the UK.

Members of The Association are qualified therapists. Membership will entitle the holder to obtain appropriate professional insurance, use of the letters MAR (full member), receipt of regular journals etc. and inclusion in the Associations professional referral register.
